Choosing a bouquet is no small matter – it must fit the wedding decoration and match the final gown as well as the hair accessories.

Choosing a wedding bouquet according to the wedding dress
It is important that the colour of your favourite flowers does not clash with the wedding dress. The basic rules apply: cooler flower colours go with a white dress and warmer colours go with beige. The key to the right, perfect wedding bouquet, however, lies in its shape. Did you know that each body type requires a different bouquet shape? There are several variations; we have chosen the three most common ones for you:
- Sceptre – simple long-stemmed flowers usually tied round or as a cascade. It suits taller women or women with wider hips and stands out most in combination with modern, simple wedding dresses.
- Round wedding bouquets suit romantic wedding dress cuts, for example with lace and wide skirts, and should rather be chosen by smaller, slimmer brides.
- Cascade – best carried by taller women with minimalist dresses, for example with an A-line or narrow skirt.
Which flowers to choose?
Among the most popular wedding flowers and wedding decorations are roses, peonies and tulips, most often in pastel or, on the contrary, very striking colours. Also keep in mind that a bouquet can cost a few hundred crowns or up to several thousand, depending on the shape, size and choice of flowers. For example, pastel peonies in mid-January will be among the more expensive options, while roses in summer won’t affect your budget much.
