Permanent make-up is a method of temporary micro-implantation of pigment into the skin. Fine natural pigments are implanted with special microfine needles into the surface layer of the skin (epidermis) – a process also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing. The effect of permanent make-up lasts for 1 to 4 years, but the durability is very individual – the pigment gradually fades over time, depending on age, skin condition, sun exposure and general skin care.

The specialist and the client choose the colour for the tattoo together. Natural (matte) shades that match the natural colour of the lips are the most appropriate, as this colour will stay with you the whole time. This technique is considered difficult and can take more than 3 hours. Thanks to the three-dimensional effect, it is possible to mask various aesthetic flaws, in particular lip asymmetry, an inaccurate contour, insufficient or excessive fullness, and pallor. Sometimes two visits are needed for a perfect 3D result: the first marks the contour of the lips, and during the second the entire surface is filled.
Aquarelle lips – a gentle technique of permanent lip make-up that emphasises naturalness and creates no defined contour. The colour pigment of natural muted shades is shaded across the entire surface of the lips, creating a natural gloss effect with no visible transitions. The procedure always starts with a consultation, where we discuss your wishes and your health. After filling in a consent form, we take a “before” photo.
Based on your facial features and your skin, hair and eye colour, our PMU artist draws the shape and size of your lips and recommends the pigment shade. Bring your favourite lipstick or lip pencil, according to which we can choose the colour.
Only after your approval do we apply a numbing cream and implant the pigment. The treatment itself takes approximately 2 hours, the whole first visit 2.5–3 hours. Afterwards we take an “after” photo and give you aftercare home instructions.
Once the skin has healed, we will see the final colour and make a correction if needed. The correction takes approximately 1 hour.

The permanent lip treatment takes about 2 hours and the following correction about 1 hour. Right after the treatment the colour on the lips is much more intense and it will fade by up to 40–60% during healing. The correction is possible after 4–6 weeks, when the skin has healed. Only then can we see the final colour and make a correction if needed.
Permanent lip make-up lasts approximately 3–5 years. The durability depends on several factors – the method used, pigmentation, the condition and type of your skin, metabolism and age. In younger people the skin renews somewhat faster, which is why PMU lasts less. Many other things, such as the intensity of sun exposure, also affect how long the make-up lasts. If you would like your permanent make-up to look optimal or you would like to make little changes in the shape or colour, we recommend a correction within 3 years after the first treatment.
We work exclusively with high-quality natural pigments from the professional Austrian brand Gaube, which has high European standards for the quality of its products. We offer a wide variety of colours. Lighter shades define the lip contour, pigments 1–2 tones brighter than the natural colour help with pale lips, and saturated colours create a lipstick effect. Please bring your own lipstick or pencil, so we can use it for choosing the right colour for you.
We recommend scheduling the treatment for the beginning or middle of your menstrual cycle. During menstruation the pain threshold is lower and the procedure may seem more painful than it really is.
If you have a history of cold sores and are scheduling permanent lips, we advise you to use an anti-herpes medication that can be obtained from a pharmacy. Use it 1 week before and 1 week after the treatment 5 times a day – this reduces the incidence of an outbreak by 50%.
Unfortunately not, because the lips could become asymmetrical after the braces are removed. We recommend having the treatment only after your braces are removed.
